BACK TO LABADEE: Based on assurances from independent security experts, Royal Caribbean International is resuming calls at its private beachfront along Haiti’s northern coast on Hispaniola. The line earlier this year had indefinitely suspended calls to Labadee because of political unrest. Beginning in late May, three Voyager-class ships, Voyager of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas again call at Labadee, amid security including 24-hour beach patrols, back-up from local police, and a security team based in Cap Haitien.
