NOW IT’S FREESTYLE FRIENDS: With the hit television sitcom Friends sailing over the horizon, Norwegian Cruise Line is poised to launch Freestyle Friends, a program targeting home-based agents and agencies generating under $25,000 in annual revenue from groups or individuals booking the line. By joining, qualifiers benefit with customized e-mail programs and collateral, CD-ROM staff presentations and a toll-free line to inside sales reps. By hooking up directly with home-based agents and giving fledging and / or entrepreneurial retailers an edge toward boosting their cruise sales, the line’s execs anticipate reaping medium to long-term loyalty from both home-based agents and their clients.
