RCI G.I.V.E.S TO COMMUNITIES: Hundreds of cruise employees are rolling up sleeves on Saturday, Oct. 2, to spruce up schools, youth centers and other public areas as part of the Royal Caribbean International's annual G.I.V.E. Day activities. Now in a seventh consecutive year, G.I.V.E. ("Get Involved Volunteer Everywhere") Day brings out Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises employees, their families and friends to help nonprofit groups improve community quality of life. G.I.V.E. Day has become the largest corporate volunteer day organized by a Florida company. Ten projects are planned in Miami-Dade and Greater Fort Lauderdale, and others are scheduled in Wichita(where the company has a reservations center), and in Seattle and Anchorage. With two more ships under construction, RCI operates 29 vessels. The company also offers cruisetour vacations in Alaska, Canada and Europe.
