Counsel Promoted & Another Overboard ...

Death Confirmed: Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. named company attorney Bradley Stein vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary. Stein, a 14-year company veteran, assumes broad legal strategy responsibilities. On heels of his promotion comes news of yet another tragedy aboard a Royal Caribbean ship, this one off the Italian coast as authorities recovered a body believed that of a Florida woman, a daughter of an auto dealership owner. Elizabeth Kay Galeana, 22, vanished from Voyager of the Seas on July 25. "... from what we know at this time, we do not believe Elizabeth's death was a result of any foul play, " a statement from her family said. Michael Sheehan, cruise line spokesman, said she likely fell off the ship. The FBI and Italian authorities are investigating . Galeana, last seen aboard en route to Naples from Civitavecchia, was reported missing by a sister. Her family's response contrasts sharply with that of the family of George Smith IV, last year disappearing from RCI's Brilliance of the Seas. Accusations by the Smiths, alleging cover-up in a suit against RCI, have resulted in an RCI web post debunking the "Top 10 Myths" surrounding Smith's disappearance. His body has not been found.
